Was It Real?

By Gerry Braun

Comments?

I was walking on this lonely coast,

one clear and starry night,

And then all of a sudden,

I saw this beautiful red and white light.

I approached the tower oh so slowly,

and I did not make a sound.

For I was walking carefully,

on very uneven ground.

I opened the door and went right in,

as if I was a resident there.

I saw this winding stairway,

that seemed to lead to nowhere.

I marched right up the stairs,

I took two stairs as a time.

For when I finally got there,

it was surely worth the climb.

I was looking at a beautiful lens,

A First Order I do believe,

It was such a beautiful sight,

I really didn’t want to leave.

Then all of a sudden I did awake,

For it was only a dream,

But I’m sure it had to be real,

or at least, to me, it did seem.

So if you’re ever walking,

on a lonely coast some night.

Linger a while, let it soak in,

For you too might see the light.
