Claude’s prints, which resemble the iconic travel posters of the great passenger ships of yesteryear, will now be viewed by thousands of passengers who embark and depart from the Maine’s Portland Maine Cruise Terminal.

The amazing display at the Portland Cruise Terminal gives a great boost to drawing attention to Maine’s beautiful lighthouses and the preservation efforts of the many volunteers, who are working throughout the state to save, preserve and open the lighthouses to the public.

Claude, who has been a generous supporter of lighthouse preservation, continues to offer new releases such as Maine’s remote Bear Island Lighthouse in Acadia National Park, Doubling Point Lighthouse on the Kennebec River and Owls Head Lighthouse, which is now under the care of the American Lighthouse Foundation.

Additionally, Claude has donated a one of his stunning Grand View Posters, which is an amazing 36" by 53" as a raffle that benefits the Maine Lighthouse Museum and the American Lighthouse Foundation. The winner will be able to pick the lighthouse poster of their choice, however, on display at the Maine Lighthouse Museum are the large images of Curtis Island Lighthouse and Owls Head Lighthouse.

Raffle tickets are $5.00 each and can be purchased at the Maine Lighthouse Museum or the American Lighthouse Foundation, both located in Rockland Maine. However, you can also order raffle tickets by send your donation, along with a self addressed postage paid reply envelope, (if you want a raffle ticket stub back) to the Maine Lighthouse Museum, P.O. Box 1116, Rockland, ME 04841.

The drawing for the winner will take place in October.

Alan Claude’s posters, which are also available in the popular size of 24" x 36" and an 11" x 14" poster calendar as well as desk calendar for 2010, can be purchased in the gift shop at the Maine Lighthouse Museum or on-line from Lighthouse Depot at www.LighthouseDepot.com.
