V.J. and Russ Schuster of Cincinnati, Ohio, were kind enough to send us this vintage photograph that they found and purchased in an antique store in Fenwick Island, Delaware.
There are no names written on the back of the photograph and no identifying information with it.
The keeper has the number two on his jacket lapel, which would indicate he was a second assistant lighthouse keeper. The resemblance of the facial features of the keeper and the lady standing with him could indicate that they were brother and sister.
Since the photo was located in an antique store about one quarter of a mile from the Fenwick Island Lighthouse, could this person have been a keeper there? If any of our readers can help identify the people in this photo we would appreciate hearing from you at Editor, Lighthouse Digest, P.O. Box 250, East Machias, ME 04630 or by email at editor@LHDigest.com.
