Alpena Lighthouse, Michigan.

Lighthouses mean many things to many people. Some people love the architecture; some people love the setting; while others love the history. Thousands of people visit lighthouses, research them, study them and collect replicas of them. Many dream about living in a lighthouse and many escape to them on family vacations, outings and picnics.

We are sure that many people also have an inspiring lighthouse story to tell. Are you one of them?

Did you have a life changing experience

at a lighthouse?

Did you meet new lifelong friends through a lighthouse visit or at a lighthouse event, group or gathering?

Does an individual lighthouse or lighthouses in general have a special meaning to you?

Have you ever meditated at a lighthouse?

Have you fallen in love at a lighthouse?

Has someone befriended you at a lighthouse?

Do you have an interesting or humorous story to tell about trying to find a lighthouse?

Did something memorable happen to you at a lighthouse?

Did a story in Lighthouse Digest inspire you or change your life in some way?

Did a lighthouse book inspire you in some way?

If you have a lighthouse story to tell,

we want to hear from you. Send us your story, and please try to keep it around 500 to 700 words, and include photographs, if possible.

If we publish your story in Lighthouse Digest, we'll send you a Lighthouse Digest sweatshirt and donate $100.00 to the lighthouse group of your choice.

Mail your story to: Editor, Lighthouse Digest, P.O. Box 68, Wells, Maine 04090.

Stories can also be emailed to editor@LighthouseDigest.com. Photos can also be emailed provided they are 300dpi

or better, on attached JPEG files. Be sure to include your shirt size and the name of the lighthouse group with your correspondence so we can send the shirt and donation should we use your story.
