Born in 1901 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Andrew A. McLintock served as a lighthouse keeper at the Sperry Light, Esopus Meadows, Saybrook Breakwater, Eaton's Neck, Southwest Ledge and North Dumpling Lighthouses. He started with the United States Lighthouse Service in August 1925 and transferred to the Coast Guard in August 1941.

Shown here in a 1939 photo, Andrew McLintock passed away on June 22, 1984.

We thank his daughter Doris M. McLintock-Hubbard for sending this photograph. Another image of a lighthouse keeper has now been saved for future generations in the files of the Lighthouse Digest.

We hope that more people will come forward with old photographs and memories that can be shared with us and maintained in the archives for future generations.
