Edwin G. Ward, born in 1885, was a third generation lighthouse keeper. He was stationed at Sodus Point from 1939 to 1952. He had previously been the 1st assistant keeper at Tibbett’s Point Lighthouse from 1920 to 1939 where he and his wife, Linnie, raised ten children.
