Photo Caption:

The liner was installed between the outer and inner bricks to give the tower more strength and to withstand winds up to 150 mph. (Photo courtesy City of Pascagoula.) When the lantern was installed atop the interior liner of the Round Island Lighthouse, the flag was placed atop the tower to show one-and-all that the lighthouse, although not fully completed, was again standing tall.
