Fort Point after the Golden Gate Bridge was completed in 1937 at a cost of $35 million. In this photo the lighthouse is barely visible, however the two assistant keepers homes at the top of the bluff outside the fort can clearly be seen. Although they would have been great museums, the government demolished them. (Lighthouse Digest archives)
