This model of the Great Shoals Lighthouse, which was built over 100 years ago, is on display at the Skipjack Heritage Museum in Chance, Maryland. The lighthouse was built in 1864 at the entrance to the Wicomico River near Wellington, Maryland. Its lantern housed a 5th order Fresnel lens. It was deactivated in 1966 and demolished shortly thereafter.
